The Swiss Smart Factory is part of the Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne and is the first model factory for Industry 4.0 in Switzerland. It serves as a test and demonstration platform for the promotion and further development of digital production. The focus is on innovations that contribute to maintaining and expanding the competitiveness of Swiss industry.

The vision of the Swiss Smart Factory is to be the leading, internationally recognized center of excellence for application-oriented research and the transfer of Industry 4.0 throughout Switzerland. As more and more innovation projects successfully enter the market, it is our task to continuously modernize and ensure sustainable learning effects for the skills of tomorrow's production. Our challenge here is to create added value for the precision industry by developing future-oriented solutions while always following the principles of lean management.

Our approach

Design

Our experienced team of technology experts developed an overall concept for the Swiss Smart Factory in several workshops together with colleagues from Switzerland Innovation.

Build up

Within six months, we adapted the Smart Factory to the individual conditions on site and realized the construction and commissioning in Biel/Bienne in Switzerland.

Supervise

Two of our experts then trained the future Swiss Smart Factory trainers as part of INOYAD GmbH's 4-day train-the-trainer program.
